On 13 November 2017, the Thai delegation led by Ambassador Chutintorn Gongsakdi called on Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at Chief Minister Office, Lucknow, to discuss business and cultural ties between Thailand and the State of UP. Joining the discussion were representatives from Thailand’s largest conglomerate, Mr. Pratan Jongpan Chief Executive Officer of CPF (India) and his team. Mr. Pratan made presentations before the Chief Minister on the possibilities of investment in the food industry by CPF in UP. CPF (India) is planning to expand their business in Northern India after succeeded in the South. The UP Government wants to draw foreign investment into many sectors in which Thailand can fill the demand such as food processing industry, food production etc.
Prior to meeting with the Chief Minister, the Thai delegation had a fruitful meeting with the team from U.P. State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (UPSIDC) and Invest India.
CPF (India) has been running integrated farmer-friendly seed, animal feed, chicken broiler and hatchery businesses for more than 20 years in India, having their factories in Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It is providing employment to more than 7,000 Indians across the country.
