On 31 January 2023, Ambassador Pattarat Hongtong hosted an afternoon tea for Indian media personnel.

Ambassador Pattarat gave a brief information on the bilateral relations between Thailand and India, particularly on Thailand's tourirm sector. Ambassador also streesed out the improvement of COVID-19 situation in Thailand, the importance of Indian travellers to Thailand, and and Thailand's readiness to welcome international travellers.

Followed by Mr. Vachirachai Sirisumpan, the Director of TAT New Delhi, who highlighted the increase in flow of Indian tourists to Thailand and reasons on why Thailand continues to be a popular destination among Indians even today. He also gave information on activities to be done in India this year by TAT office to promote tourism of Thailand.
