Ambassador hosted a dinner in honour of the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and held discussions with Team Thailand offices in New Delhi

 

On 15 May 2026, Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador, hosted a dinner reception at the Ambassador’s Residence in honour of Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and her delegation during their visit to New Delhi to attend BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting for the BRICS members and partner countries.

 

The meeting was held from 14–15 May 2026 under the theme “Reforms of Global Governance and Multilateral System.” The Thai delegation was led by Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

 

On this occasion, the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs also met with Team Thailand offices in New Delhi to discuss ways to further strengthen relations with India in all dimensions, particularly following the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership
