On 22 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, along with H.E. Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Mr. Chote Trachu, Chairman, Board of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), attended the opening ceremony of Thailand stand at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, New Delhi. According to TAT, there were 59 Thai entrepreneurs from various sectors i.e. hotels and resorts, water parks, amusement parks, golf clubs, Thailand Privilege Card, Thai Airways, and Air Asia participating in the event. The SATTE 2024 offers a comprehensive platform for Thai entrepreneurs to showcase Thai travel, tourism, and hospital industry, as well as to discuss potential business deals with Indian buyers.

 

The Ambassador also took this opportunity to host a dinner in honour of H.E. Minister of Tourism and Sports at the Ambassador’s residence. The participants included the Governor of the TAT, Deputy Governor, Directors, as well as the President of Thailand Privilege Card.
A number of policies and ideas were cordially discussed to further promote Thai culture and tourism in India including the focus on attracting more high-quality Indian tourists to travel to Thailand for leisure, business and wedding.
