On 18 May 2026, Chavanart Thangsumphan, Ambassador of Thailand to New Delhi, paid respects to and offered lunch to Most Venerable Phra Phrom Vajirabodhivong on the occasion of his visit to New Delhi.
On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation and reverence to Most Venerable Phra Phrom Vajirabodhivong and the Dhammaduta Bhikkhus Thai Mission in India-Nepal for their important role in strengthening Thailand–India relations through religious connections over the past four decades.
The Ambassador also invited Most Venerable Phra Phrom Vajirabodhivong to bless the Ambassador’s Residence and the office buildings of the Royal Thai Embassy by sprinkling holy water for auspiciousness and to boost the morale of the Embassy staff.
In addition, Mr. Jakarin Treedara of the Royal Thai Embassy accompanied Most Venerable Phra Phrom Vajirabodhivong to pay homage to the sacred relics of the Buddha at the National Museum.
