On 5 April 2023, Dr. Suwit Wibulpolprasert, Advisor to the Office of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, won WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia’s 2023 Award for Heroes of Public Health. Received on behalf of the laureate by H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, the Award recognized Dr. Suwit’s exceptional contribution towards the establishment of strong and futuristic public health systems in Thailand.
