The Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi organised the 9th annual edition of the Namaste Thailand Quiz from 4 August - 6 September 2023. The pre-launch activity on 4 August 2023 was the special inter-school quiz where 240 enthusiastic students from 63 high schools in Delhi and NCR joining the preliminary round, of which 6 teams from different schools got through the final round.

H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, in her opening remarks at the on-stage competition, shared an overview of all the common linkages between Thailand and India. She also highlighted the young generations' pivotal role in nurturing the strengthening of economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

During 21 August - 6 September 2023 the online competition took place with 36 questions and side contests (Mera Thailand), stories, and reels about Thailand such as cuisine, heritage, nature, culture, technology, innovations, and people were included. This year the campaign reached out to approximately 120,000 Facebook and Instagram users in over 125 cities across India.

The Namaste Thailand Quiz has fostered the growing friendship between Thailand and India and the chance to challenge the knowledge about Thailand among Indian young generations.
