Royal Mobile Dental Unit Project
On October 11, 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata jointly launched the “Royal Mobile Dental Unit Project” to commemorate Nawamindra Maharaj Day , marking the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. The project took place at the Thai Temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, from 10-14 October 2025.
This initiative is a collaboration between the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata, and the Faculty of Dentistry, Chiang Mai University. Now in its second consecutive year, the project invites compassionate and volunteer-minded dental professionals to provide dental care for monks, novice monks, nuns, and Thai Buddhists who are practicing Dhamma in Bodh Gaya, Bihar.
