On 26 August 2024 H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongton, Ambassador of Thailand to India, welcomed Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary General, Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EEC), on the occasion of his visit to New Delhi to promote investment in the EEC area to Indian business sectors. The Ministry of Foriegn Affairs of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with the EEC Office and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), co-organised the seminar and networking session titled “ACT EAST, CHOOSE THAILAND: Investing in Your Connected, Secure, and Sustainable Future in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand" where the EEC Secretary General shared updated investment policies under the EEC’s incentive scheme and met with about 30 potential Indian entrepreneurs during the seminar.

On this occasion, the Embassy had a meeting with the EEC Secretary General to exchange information about Thailand - India economic relations. The representative from Invest India also took part in the discussion to share and exchange views on the investment promotion.

The EEC Secretary General and delegation will continue their activities in Bangalore and Mumbai from 27 - 31 August 2024.
