On 25-26 March 2025 Mr. Thirapath Mongkolnavin, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, attended the 7th Act East Business Show held in Shillong, Meghalaya, with the Director of Thai Trade Center in New Delhi and the business delegation nominated by the Thai Chamber of Commerce. The event was organized by the Government of Meghalaya and Indian Chamber of Commerce to promote trade, investment and business opportunities in various sectors especially agriculture, infrastructure development, and tourism among ASEAN and India's neighbouring countries which are Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal.

During the inaugural session presided over by the Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Mr. Mongkolnavin delivered his remarks on Thailand - India relations, the upcoming BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok, and the cultural and economic connectivity between Thailand and the North East Region (NER) of India. In addition, during the roundtable discussion on "Strategic North East India: Connecting Asia and the World", Mr. Mongkolnavin shared his ideas on how to promote NER and Meghalaya, as well as ways to bring Thailand and ASEAN closer to Meghalaya.

The Thai business delegation also attended sectoral seminars and visited the exhibition showcasing local products of Meghalaya. Following this event, the delegation had the opportunity to survey the local markets of Shillong and get experience on the well-constructed road link between Shillong and Guwahati.
