On 10-11 June 2024 H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailland to India, together with Team Thailand officials from New Delhi and Mumbai, visited the State of Gujarat to co-preside over the opening ceremony of the first manufacturing facility of Siam Cement Big Bloc Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Thailand's SCG International and India's Big Bloc Construction. The company will soon supply its innovative lightweight AAC blocks and walls under the brand "Zmartbuild Wall by NXTBLOC" to India's construction market. Ambassador also joined the SCG executives to visit the facility located in Kheda District.

During the visit to Gujarat, Ambassador and Team Thailand also met the executives of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) and Eris Lifesciences to discuss trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
