On March 21, 2025, Her Excellency H.E. Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to India, presided over the ceremony to receive the Buddha statue "Phra Phuttha Sirindhorn Theprattan Mongkhon Phuwadon Santi," graciously bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The ceremony was attended by embassy officials, members of Team Thailand, and their spouses at the Royal Thai Embassy

"Phra Phuttha Sirindhorn Theprattan Mongkhon Phuwadon Santi" is a 20-inch-tall, 10-kilogram metal Buddha statue in the "Leela" (walking) posture. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over its consecration ceremony at the ordination hall of Wat Suthatthepwararam on 22 July 2023. Her Royal Highness graciously bestowed these statues upon various institutions in Thailand and overseas, with the noble intention of bringing auspiciousness, happiness, and well-being and for the prosperity of our nation, religions, and the monarchy.
