On 22 February 2023, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongthong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, presided over the opening ceremony of ‘Thailand Week Roadshow 2023’ at the YMCA International Center in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, organized by the Thai Trade Office in Mumbai. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation that Thailand could host this event again after a two-year hiatus, for this event’s objective is to be a part of momentum-building for the stronger relationship between Thailand and India after 2022 when both our countries 75 years of diplomatic relations and which various events were held throughout the year. The event is also timely as it is held under the backdrop of increase in bilateral trade which amounted to an unprecedented 17.7 billion USD at the end of 2022, a record-high.

The Thailand Week Roadshow 2023 is an event showcasing Thai products with the objective of bringing Thai manufacturers to India to find partners in the Gujarat region and to increase awareness of Thai products among Indians. This event was held in two cities this year, Ahmedabad from February 22-23, 2023, and Surat from February 25-27, 2023, and featured a total of 33 companies in five product categories, including food and beverages (12 companies), pet products (3 companies), fashion, jewelry, and accessories (8 companies), household products (4 companies), and health and beauty products (6 companies).
