On 16 December 2024, Mr. Thirapath Mongkolnavin, Chargé d'affaires a.i., attended the inaugural flight press conference of Thai AirAsia X which has operated direct flights from/to Bangkok (Don Mueang International Airport) - Delhi starting from 15 December 2024 onwards. On his congratulatory remarks, Mr. Mongkolnavin stressed the importance of air connectivity contributing to the growth of tourism and economic sectors and bringing the two nations closer. And according to Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia X, the airline aims to increase its DMK-DEL-DMK services to four weekly flights after 15 January 2025.
