On April 18, 2023, Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, attended the India Showcase 2023 event organized by Dusit Hotels and Resorts. The purpose of the event was to allow representatives from Dusit Hotels in various countries (Thailand, Nepal, Maldives, and UAE) to meet with tour company representatives and business partners in the New Delhi area. During the event, Mr. Nichlas John Maratos, Vice President - Commercial, who traveled from Bangkok, informed the Ambassador that Dusit Hotels would be returning to do business in India in the fourth quarter of this year by launching two hotels: Dusit Princess Serviced Suites in Kolkata, West Bengal, and DusitD2 Fagu in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. In addition, there are plans to launch two more hotels in the future (expected in 2024) in collaboration with Indian private sector.

This investment back in India by Dusit Hotels not only reflects the economic potential of India but also underscores the close relationship between Thailand and India, particularly in the economic and investment dimensions.
