On 31 January 2026, the Embassy organized a merit-making ceremony (Thaksinanupathan) to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother of Thailand on the occasion of the hundredth day (Satamawan) following Her Majesty’s passing. The ceremony featured a traditional altar with the Royal Portrait of Her Majesty and ceremonial offerings. Mr. Kiran Moongtin, Minister, together with the Heads of Team Thailand’s Offices, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, and their family members, participated in the merit-making activities, which included food offering to monks, Buddhist chanting, and presentation of offerings (Sangkhadana), to pay homage and dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
