On 20 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand to India, had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Prashant Agrawal, Additional Secretary (South), the Ministry of External Affairs of India, to provide information regarding Thailand-Cambodia situation. On this occasion, Ambassador Chavanart reiterated Thailand commitment to peace and to resolving the conflicting issues through existing bilateral mechanism as well as provided fact on the violations of the 1997 Ottawa Convention by Cambodia.

 

Both sides also took this opportunity to exchange view and discuss on issues related to the bilateral relations such as possible consular cooperations and Thailand’s request for India’s support to the re-appointment of H.E. Dr. Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol as Secretary-General of AALCO for a second term (2026-2029).
