On 25 February 2026, Ms. Chavanart Thangsamphant, Ambassador, presided over the opening ceremony of the Thailand Pavilion, organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2026 held at Yashobhoomi, IIC & Expo Centre, New Delhi. The ceremony was joined by Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, Deputy Governor (Asia & South Pacific), and Mr. Chuwit Sirivajjakul, Deputy Governor (Policy & Planning), Tourism Authority of Thailand.

 

This year, TAT invited more than 50 Thai tourism operators to participate in SATTE 2026 to showcase Thailand’s tourism products and services and to engage in business matchings with Indian counterparts. The atmosphere of the event was constructive and dynamic. On this occasion, the Ambassador also exchanged views on policies and approaches to tourism promotion, highlighting the importance of promoting culture and national identity alongside tourism offerings.
