On 14 January 2023, ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC), in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs of India, organized the first ever ASEAN-India Bazaar at the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi.

The event received an overwhelming response from almost 2,000 attendees including Indian friends, diplomatic corps and ASEAN community in New Delhi and Delhi NCR. All 10 missions of ASEAN member states in New Delhi and India (Ministry of Tribal Affairs) set up stalls to showcase their products as well as variety of food and beverages. There were also Pop Quizzes about ASEAN and ASEAN-India relations, cultural performances from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and India (from Indian Council for Cultural Relations) as well as cooking demonstration from the Philippines.

ASEAN-India Bazaar was the initiative of the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, in the capacity of the current ANDC Chair (August 2022-Januaray 2023). The event aims to strengthen ASEAN-India relations by fostering people-to-people relations as well as to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN-India relations and ASEAN-India Friendship Year.
