On July 23, 2026, the Thai Experience Centre (TEC), under the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, hosted a creative talk titled "Museum as Bridges and Crossroads" at the Humayun’s Tomb Museum Auditorium. The event featured Mr. Kulapat Yantrasast, a renowned Thai architect and the founder of WHY Architect, as the keynote speaker. The auditorium was filled by students, architects, and government officials.

 

The discussion was insightful and constructive, with the speaker and attendees exchanging perspectives, vision, and philosophies regarding the design and creation of museums to reflect history, ways of life, culture, and social dynamics. The speaker metaphorically described a museum as a "Cultural Playground" that allows visitors to imagine history through exhibitions, while reflecting the culture and identities. Furthermore, the speaker enlightened that museums should serve as bridges connecting people, ideas, and cultures from around the world, as well as crossroads that reflect shifting lifestyles and social values across eras. Therefore, the speaker suggested that the museum should be a space that presents the past, reflects the present, and offers wisdom for the future.

 

In addition, this event served as a great opportunity to promote a world-renowned Thai figure and showcase Thai architectural concepts to a wider audience in India.
